Character consistency in Midjourney 6

cb1061

So - are we having a blast with the --cref prompt yet? I have to admit it's been eating a lot of my time lately, trying to create a decent representation of yours truly. 'Cause - hey! - there's so many things I'd love to see "me" do 😅

In this attempt I've been focused on making the initial reference images for later use. I started out with an actual photo (this is the heaviest patience part) and iterated until fairly satisfied with three shots with recognizable features. Then I added those same images to my --cref promt. I have no idea if this is the best way of doing it, but as of yet I haven't found a better one. As far as I know character creation functionality is coming to MJ in a short while, I guess that'll change things.

Rinse and repeat. And repeat. And repeat.

And repeat.

First and foremost; this is me. The initial photo.

The prompt I've been using for these iterations is really stripped down and simple, something in the vicinity of this:

[imagine]

(photo/illustration/painting of a) man (doing something somewhere somehow) --cref (image url 1) (image url 2) (image url 3) --cw 10 --style raw --s 750

I've experimented with different scenes, styles and techniques:

Photo of a thief stealing gold in a vault...

Black and white ink illustration of a wizard with his pet dragon...

Photo of a man singing in a rock band...

A man demonstrates his latest invention...

Illustration of a man sitting by a rhino...

I know, I know. This is not me. There's still some way to perfection. And perhaps I'm not the one best fitted to review these at all. But I'm intrigued by some of the results down the line:
